Getting started with Sitejet Builder: from cPanel to your first website

Sitejet Builder is the drag-and-drop editor included in the cPanel of Interweb hosting plans. You build the site in your browser, with nothing to install and no code, and publish it on your domain.

Before you start

You need an active hosting plan and a domain (or subdomain) in the account where the site will live.

Careful: if that domain already has a website, first read how to publish without losing the site you already had. Publishing from the builder replaces the files in the domain's folder.

Opening the builder

1 Log in to cPanel. If you are not sure how, see how to access cPanel.
2 In the Domains section, click Sitejet Builder. The Sitejet Websites list opens, showing the domains in the account.
3 Click Create a New Website and type the domain for the site — for example yourbusiness.ao — or a subdomain such as new.yourbusiness.ao. Confirm.
4 The builder opens, already linked to that domain.

Choosing a starting point

1 A ready-made template. Templates are grouped by category and already adapt to phones. Pick the closest one and change the rest — see how to choose and customise a template.
2 The AI generator. The cPanel site list has a Try Sitejet AI button. It asks for your business name, your field and a short description, and builds a first version of the site that you then edit like any other.

Publishing, and coming back to edit

When you are happy, click Publish. The site starts opening on your domain. What happens at that moment is explained in publishing and publishing again.

To make changes later, go back to Domains › Sitejet Builder in cPanel:

Button What it does
Continue Editing Shown for sites not yet published. Opens the builder where you left off.
Edit Site Opens the builder for a published site. Changes only reach the domain when you publish again.
Details Shows the site's details and a preview.

When cPanel will not let you create the site

1 The domain shares its folder with another domain. Each builder site needs its own folder. Use the main domain, or a subdomain or another domain with its own folder — see how to add another domain or a subdomain.
2 The domain is redirected. A domain that only forwards to another address cannot take a builder site. Remove the redirect first.
3 You reached the plan's limit. The message is "You have reached the maximum number of websites for this account" — see what to do when you hit the limit.
