There are two ways to change your cPanel password, and the difference is simple: one needs the current one, the other does not.
Before you start: this is your cPanel password. It is not the same as your Meu Interweb one, nor the one on each e-mail account - they are independent, and changing one does not touch the others.

When you no longer remember the current one |
Inside cPanel
| 1 |
Log in to cPanel (here is how if you do not know the address).
| 2 |
Find the Preferences section and open the password and security option.
| 3 |
Enter the current one, then the new one twice, and confirm.

From Meu Interweb
| 2 |
Pick the hosting service and use the option to change the cPanel password.

The consequence that catches almost everyone: the cPanel password is also the account's main FTP password. The moment you change it, your FTP program, your backup plugin and any system that publishes files automatically stop working. Update them the same day, or you will find backups quietly not happening.
What does NOT change: the passwords on your e-mail accounts stay exactly as they were. They are independent and handled separately - see how to change those.
If you cannot remember the current one, use the reset. And if the reason for changing is a suspected break-in, change the Meu Interweb one too and read how to tell if your site has been compromised.

The exact names on screen
Inside cPanel, the option is in the Preferences section and is called Password & Security (with the panel in Portuguese, the name appears translated). The form has three fields, Old Password, New Password and New Password (Again), plus a Password Generator button and a strength bar. The button that saves is Change your password now!
In the client area the route is Services > My Services, then the hosting plan, then Change Password. It does not ask for the current one.
In both places the new password must reach the minimum strength set on the server: while the bar shows it as too weak, the change is refused. Twelve or more characters mixing upper and lower case, numbers and symbols usually pass, and the generator creates one that always does.
