AI domain ideas: how to use them and what to expect

The tool does three things, in this order: it reads the description you write about your business, it proposes names, and it asks each extension registry whether each name is free. What lands on your screen already carries availability and price.

Where to find it

In two places, and it is the same tool. On the generator page, with room to write properly, pick a naming style and keep the names you liked. And inside the search box on the domain registration page: the sparkle button inside the field turns that box into a place to describe your business, and the results appear on the same page, with the same availability check and the same price as an ordinary search.

The description is where this is won or lost

The more specific you are, the better the names. «Bakery» says almost nothing, and gives you names that would suit any bakery anywhere. «Neighbourhood bakery, sourdough bread and cakes to order» gives the tool something to work with.

Say Why it helps
What you sell The actual products or services, not the category. Concrete words are where names with character come from.
Who buys it Individuals, companies, schools, visitors. A name aimed at the wrong audience is useless however pretty it is.
Where you work Your city, your region, or whether you sell abroad. It changes the language and the tone of the suggestions.
The tone you want Serious, short, playful. If you do not say, the tool decides for you.
The box requires a minimum number of characters before it will generate, and the counter underneath tells you how many are missing. That is not fussiness: half a dozen words give it nothing to grip, and the output would suit any company at all.

The styles

The same business produces very different names depending on the style you choose: compound, minimalist, descriptive, invented, cultural, foreign, aspirational, playful, rhyming, or all of them mixed. The page explains each one and shows well known brands that came out of each recipe. Try two or three before you decide, and press generate again to see more variations on the same idea.

What the tool does, and where it stops

Step What happens
It proposes names From what you wrote. You can ask for another batch from the same description without typing it all again.
It asks the registry Every name is checked at the moment you see it, not against a list built yesterday. When the registry does not answer, the page says there was no confirmation instead of inventing one.
It shows the price The price of the extension, the same one in the pricing table and the same one the cart charges.
And it stops there It registers nothing, reserves nothing and holds nothing for you. That step is yours.
A suggestion is not a reservation. The name on your screen is still free for everyone, and we do not hold it while you look at it. Minutes can pass between seeing it and registering it, and in those minutes somebody else can take it. It is yours only once it is registered and paid for.
Use the page’s own saved list to park the names you like while you compare, then deal with them the same day. The list is for choosing, not for postponing.

Before you register, read it out loud

1 Can you say it on the phone without spelling it? If you have to spell it every time you hand it over, it will cost you customers for years.
2 Is there only one way to write it? A name with two possible spellings sends half your visitors to the wrong site, or to someone else’s.
3 Does it still fit in five years? A name that is too narrow shuts the door on the services you do not sell yet.
4 Is it free where it needs to be? The domain is handled here, in minutes. The trade mark is registered with your national industrial property office, and that is a separate process.

If the name you want is taken, there are three ways out and all of them are on the page: try another extension, because the same name is usually free in one; ask for variations from the same description; or find out who holds it today with the WHOIS lookup.

What you write is kept alongside the names it produced, so the tool improves and so you get different suggestions if you repeat the same idea. We do not ask for your name or e-mail, we do not tie it to any account, and we neither sell nor share what you write.

Describe your business and see what comes out. It is free and needs no account.
