The short answer: if you show products and prices but the sale is closed by phone, WhatsApp or a quote request, you have a catalogue, not a shop. It is a light site, and one of the first shared plans is fine. You do not need a shop’s weight, nor its obligations.
What weighs, and what does not
| Part of the site | What to do |
| Product pages | One page per product or family, with photo, description, measurements and, if you wish, the price. Prices and features as text, so Google can read them. |
| PDF price list | Offer it as a download in addition to the pages, not instead of them. A PDF of many megabytes is slow to open on a phone. |
| Quote request | A form that asks the essentials (product, quantity, contact). Test that the e-mail arrives: A contact form that actually reaches your inbox. |
| A button on each product, with the message already written: Putting WhatsApp on your site. | |
| Images | The photo sells. Shrink them and use WebP: Image optimisation. |
How to choose, step by step
|
|
|
|
| Showing a price obliges you to keep it right. If prices change often, write “from” or “on request”, and put the date of the last update. An old price on display leads to arguments. |
| The catalogue in WhatsApp Business can be a good first stage, even before you have a site: Setting up a product catalogue in the WhatsApp Business app. |
